Wedge Baseline Out-of-Bounds
A baseline inbounds set using two players standing shoulder-to-shoulder as a 'wedge' just above the block, springing a cutter from the strong-side corner all the way through to a catch on the weak side.

The breakdown
Reads & options
- 1.If the cutter's defender fights over the top of the wedge, the cutter can slip back door underneath instead of continuing through.
- 2.The two wedge screeners can re-post immediately after the cut for a quick post-entry counter if nothing opens up top.
- 3.Run the same wedge alignment with the cutter starting from either corner to keep the defense from jumping the action early.
Coaching points
- The two wedge screeners must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with no gap, or the defender will squeeze through between them.
- The cutter should brush tight off both screeners' shoulders, not run a wide arc that gives the defender room to recover.
- The inbounder needs a full five-count before releasing the pass so the cutter has time to clear the wedge.
