An 8-Week Church Basketball Program

Eight weeks is long enough to build real habits and short enough for volunteers to commit to. One theme a week, on the court and in the huddle.

one theme a week.

How each week runs

Every practice follows the same rhythm: welcome and warm-up, skill work, a five-to-seven-minute devotion huddle on the week's theme, more basketball that puts the theme on the court, and a closing prayer at pickup. Same structure every week means volunteers know exactly what to do.

Make it yours

The themes and verse references below are a starting point. Swap in your church's own series, choose your translation, and write the big idea in your ministry's voice. In SixSevenBall, Ministry Mode loads this series with one tap and every word is editable.

Frequently asked questions

Q1Can we change the themes or verses?
Yes — they're a starting point. Your church chooses the themes, the translation, and the teaching.
Q2What ages is this program for?
It's written for roughly grades 3–8. For younger kids, shorten the devotion and use one question instead of three.
